He has been involved in politics at the national level for only a very short few years and has really done nothing as a junior Senator from Illinois to grab my attention other thangive one very noteworthy speech at the Democratic national convention in 2004. "Keep in mind neither Hillary or Obama will get exactly the plans and goals they want through congress. Whether it's healthcare, alternative energy, or stopping the corporate give aways. The key will be who can get more of their plan supported? Obama has shown his ability to bring people together. Jun 9 2008, 2:28 AM EDT I am so sickened by watching the media and its non-sensical, mindless, brain washed followers faun over this so-called "first African-American" Presidential candidate. Obama is not a descendent of African American slaves and voting for him will do nothing to redeem your silly selves from the perceived sins of our fathers. As the mother of a bi-racial African American/Caucasian family, why can none of you see the hypocrisy of the way in which the media hones in on Obama's race in order to elevate him to saviour status? This is the epitome of racism folks. Obama is more of a Caucasian elitist than an African American. The real goal of the liberal media is to usher in Socialism and clearly they are not above invoking the raw emotions of racial inequality to do just that. It is shameful. Rather than his skin color, I am more interested (and alarmed) by Obama's voting record. I am alarmed by Obama's political and personal affiliations with crooks, marxists, socialists, and the American Communist Party. Socialism is a nice alternate name for Communism. It has been tried and re-tried countless times in the history of this world and has NEVER succeeded. At best, Obama is a Jimmy Carter protege...look at the national embarrassment we have suffered at the hands of Carter in recent weeks! Lord help us if another liberal extremist is allowed to lead us into the same bleak state that Jimmy Carter led our great nation into. Many Americans may not remember the Carter administration or may not even have been born yet but that is no excuse for not researching that dismal era in American history.
