Donald has been making the tour of the communities in the 4th district. Dan Glickman, who was defeated by Tiarht many years ago, was accompanying him and providing him with an introduction. Donald is quite young and it will be an uphill battle. Tiarht's big issue now is the tanker contract that went to to Airbus. Boeing/Spirit is a major employer in this area and the loss of the contract will definitely hurt. While Tiarht works on this, he still has to deal with the issue that his presidential candidate was instrumental in keeping the contract out of Wichita and lobbyists for Airbus are currently his campaign advisors. If Tiarht is going to get shafted by his Republican cronies, then what good is he? And about that global warming----

Actually there is truth in that statement, I was republican till they came up with homeland security which they started making all these laws and creating all these job, Government Job, bigger government , The new laws have cost me over 50,000 more dollars and has me cut off from a legitimate enterprise in another country, that now you have to have a passport, but they will not give me one because of a computer entry that is bogus. I have had an attorney working on it too and they get paid every month. Not one law they have created helps with homeland security. So yes, government gets bigger and there is no difference between the Democrat and the Republican. In fact the GOP mascot was looking in a mirror and he saw a Jack Ass looking back at him. lol John Wieder for Congress TX 22. Check out the Libertarian, Green and Independent Parties too. ps I found a huckabee sign when I was putting out my signs last Sunday afternoon. oh, got to run to go see my hun! john wieder

If Jim Nelson challenge kingston again next year he may have a better shot to win because he has the experience now & people know now his name in the district. But how about these names to possibly challenge kingston: State Senator Tim Golden (D) Valdosta, former Senate President Pro Tem Walter Ray (D) Douglas & former candidate for Lt. Governor in 2006 Griffen Lotson (D) Darien. What do you think.

"why vote for Obama? What has he done in his career to encourage me that he is the right man for the office? " Keep in mind neither Hillary or Obama will get exactly the plans and goals they want through congress. Whether it's healthcare, alternative energy, or stopping the corporate give aways. The key will be who can get more of their plan supported? Obama has shown his ability to bring people together. One example is here: http://www.samefacts.com/archives/barack_obama_/2008/01/obama_against_police_torture.php As much as many of us like Hillary, she is divisive. She's not a consensus builder the way Obama is, so even though she would be a good leader, in comparison she lacks the critical negotiation skills that will bring progressive change to Washington.

Are the Democrats going to be allowed to hold their primaries again in these two states who were initially punished for holding their primaries too early? Will their votes then count toward the awarding of delegates? If so who is going to be the one who will most likely benefit?

I was a John Edwards guy from the get go! Tomorrow my state of NY and 23 others go to caucus amd primary. I can support either of these two Democratic finalists. How will I vote, if I believed in the antage that in the primary you get to fall in love but in the general you got to fall in line, I would vote Obama. But I am instead voting for Hillary. No, I do not love her politics but I love her grit, determination, combativeness and resiliency. She is the energizer bunny and that makes her likely to defeat the Republicans in November. Which way are you folks going on SDT?

"I think we may well have a Clinton/Obama ticket. I have a gut check that tells me she will win the nomination and will need to offer him the second spot to fully unite the party. Alot depends if Michelle will allow Barack to accept number 2? She is a black Hillary in her own right and don't be surprised to see her become a future Senator from IL. I think she plays a huge role in his strategy and political decisions. A Clinton/Obama ticket would be a political sunami for the Democratic Party in November. McCain will have to take Huckabee to win over the evangelical right wing of the party. That ticket will look real bad alongside Clinton/Obama!" Michele Obama said "For The First Time In My Life I Am Proud To Be an American." Michele, go to the muslim roots. You don't belong here. Bran

This is Tom Delay's old seat, which he lost to the Democrats by claiming he was no longer a Texas resident. A lawsuit found that he was capable of standing for office unless he withdrew from the race, which he did (having already resigned from Congress). Now too late to get on the ballot, Shelley Sekula-Gibbs ran a write-in campaign as a Republican. More interestingly, she won the race to serve as Delay's replacement... for three weeks.
Sekula-Gibbs continued to keep this seat in the news when all seven of Delay's staff quit en masse just days after she arrived. According to the Houston Chronicle, these actions make her unlikely to prevail as the Republican candidate for this seat in 2008. Watch for a nasty primary if she doesn't go quietly.

"For the record book of tx-22, Why does the key tags keep changing and being removed? I am asking cause iI do not know. This year is the year the truth about the sanctity of life comes out and what it means to most republicans and you will be truley sad when you hear. I will be glad when the primary is over and we can get down to serious business at hand. ty john wieder " Most conservative republicans are looking for a new way to further their Christian Values. While out putting information into potenial voters for Dr. Ron Paul for March the third and John Wieder in Novemeber 2008, Mr Croyer said that "All them Republicans have been lying about being really prolife cause they never do anything. They get your vote, then they are gone."

Candidates really shouldn't post things about themselves on this website. I really don't think it does any good and as far as I know no serious candidate has done that.
