I have been following politics since I was a little kid and Carter was in office. From that point on, I have always paid close attention to the details that come from my representatives mouths. But this year, my tolerance for the BS that has been coming from Washington has hit an all-time low. Because of that, I have decided to vote for candidates that are not career politicians, and definately not someone looking to add billions of dollars in pork barrel spending to a $700B bailout (which shouldn't happen to begin with). But rather looking for people that actually want to go to Washington to make a change. Here in Wisconsin's 4th congressional district, I have found such a candidate. It looks like he's a write-in for this year, and even if he doesn't make it this year (since we know write-ins are long shots), I will throw my support behind him in 2010. He speaks eloquently, and is looking to just help the average working stiff - which I might add he is. I hope there are more people like him out there, and that we finally stand up to these career politicians and say, "enough, you had your chance, now it's time for someone else to make a difference".
