Al Weed is highly unlikely to run again. He's run twice, he is convinced he is not the right candidate for this district. It's sort of an Al Gore situation -- no desire to run, very unlikely, but not completely out of the picture of something big happened. Look for someone else.

Yes, if Weed couldn't break 40% in this year's election environment, it doesn't seem very promising for him. The question is whether there's another Democratic candidate who could have a chance, or whether Goode is unshiftable short of indictment, retirement, or redistricting.
