There is a strong possibility that Randy Forbes will run for the US Senate in 2008 if John Warner retires. Recruitment must begin immediantly for someone to challenge on the Democratic side. I believe there are severla worthy candidates such as: Delegate William Barlow (D-Smithfield), Delegate Lionel Spruil (D-Chesapeake), Senator Louise Lucas (D-Chesapeake), Councilwoman Ella Ward (D-Chesapeake) and local businessman Mark Sisisky (D-Petersburg).
