  • Potential challenger I wonder if this could be an actual race? It's really sad that this guy has represented one of the more liberal areas of South Carolina when he is completely out of step with it.

  • Canidate I hear Brian Taylor a new comer is seeking the seat in the 14th district. He is fresh and ready to start striving for a better America for all of us, Some info I found

    Check him out on: www.supportbriantaylor.com

Brian A. Taylor a 2000 Sto-Rox Graduate, In 2002 he enlisted in the US Air Force. Graduated from basic training in Feb 2002 and was based at Kadena AFB Japan for 2 years. He was deployed 3 times to the Middle East and then resided in Sumter South Carolina where he finished out his military duty.

Brian distinguished himself by outstanding achievement as Power Production Apprentice, 379th Expeditionary Civil Engineer Squadron, 379th Expeditionary Mission Support Group and 379th Expeditionary Wing Al Udeid Air Base Qatar.

Supporting Operation Freedom and Iraqi Freedom he was eager to accept new challenges and was a key player in establishing the wing’s first aircraft arresting system maintenance program center. Always prepared he responded to 25 in-flight emergencies, ensuring the lives of five aircrew members. Identified by his peers as the shop’s most talented junior technician he expertly rebuilt a Bak-14 support block saving thousands of dollars in replacement costs.

Since the end of his military duty Brian has been working on several different projects. He was recently on the Pittsburgh evening news for organizing a Christmas card signing drive for wounded vets. Brian has always had a strong desire to Strive for a better future for all. He has strong ideals on the issues with Education, Health Care, rising gas prices, Social security and taxes being his key concern. He may not be able to solve all of our problems tomorrow, but given the opportunity he will give it everything he has.

  • 2010? I think there is a lot of potential for a lot of close races. The GOP could win in states like Hawaii, Maryland and Vermont if there are retirements and they get good candidates. I think Alaska, Kansas, North Carolina and South Dakota could be close as well. North Dakota and Nevada are possibilities as well if there are good challengers.
