I've heard former Gov. Bereton Jones (D) mentioned as a possible candidate. Does anyone know if he is likely to run? If he does, I think he'd beat McConnell. Jones was extremely popular as Governor. He signed the law allowing KY governors to run reelection, but served only one term himself (I believe from 1992-1996).
