Word on the street is that State Senator Nick Jordan of Shawnee, KS (Johnson County) is going to challenge Dennis Moore for his seat.

Jordan might get some fundraising from the chamber of commerce, but it won't matter. Moore has a good record with the chamber of commerce as well. Also, Moore has virtually 100% name ID in the third district, and everyone in the third district believes that Moore is their best friend.

To make matters worse for Jordan, national Republicans have virtually given up on this seat as long as Moore is in office. They're concentrating, instead, on the Freshman Democrats, such as Boyda, who are more vulnerable.

In short, I agree. Moore is at least as safe as any Democrat can ever be in Kansas.

There's still a lot of politicing to be done, though.

At least as safe as any Democrat can ever be in Kansas. He absolutely destroyed Ahner in 2006, and looks pretty unstoppable at this point.
