What candidate will support American citizens?
Over the years there has been admitted abuse of the temporary visa system (H1Bs, L1s etc.). On one hand you have companies that have laid off and let go of engineers and other technical people only to hire H1Bs citing that they can not find any other American to do the job. This causes wage reductions and a reason for American citizens not to pursue engineering degrees. These programs are abused by companies to reduce labor costs while increasing CEO salaries and stockholder profits. The actions may be legal because of legislation that these companies lobbied to get but it is highly unethical and the companies should be held accountable for their actions. John Laesch is a candidate that seems to be in support of changing the system. Bill Foster worked at Fermilab which is a big abuser of the system. Jotham Stein has stated that he favors increases in the H1Bs (note he is an employment lawyer -- they make quite a bit of money off the H1B system).
Who will support corporate interests and who will support the American citizens to which our Representatives are accountable?

John Laesch's entry was in need of updating, and so was Bill Foster's. Also, Joe Serra has been considering the bid for a while now, so I added him as a potential challenger.

Note that there has also been speculation that Hastert may leave his seat before his term is up (in which case, there would likely be a special election to replace him and serve out the rest of his term). See below for more details on this:
