"This is a one issue candidate. He is prolife, thats it. He doesnt appear to have anything else to offer to his constituency. Unfortunately there hasnt been a Democratic Candidate that can offer any alternative to him. He is a total Bush clone and votes the way the party tells him. We need an opposition candidate intelliegent enough to show the shallowness of this representative.

Trent Franks has grown up quite a bit in his last 4 years and his most noticable recent departure from the Republican administration is his voting AGAINST the bailout proposal BOTH times. He no longer strikes me as another Bush clone anymore but someone who may help draw the conservative line where it matters. He DOES vote consistently with the administration on the Iraq policy and I am a bit dissappointed in his healthcare, welfare and child support voting.
Strong marks in his being able to read the pork-barrel fine print in legislation and a willingness to just say NO.
Whatever came up to strengthen border security got a strong YES.
DId vote to lower rates on Student loans, though he did vote to reduce lending.
Overall, I will likely vote for him again but encourage him to think a little bit more about the people of the US, and less about the money and foreign adventures this round.
