Portland Councilor and Former Mayor, Jill C. Duson is testing the waters for becoming a candidate for Maine’s 1st Congressional District seat in the 2008 election cycle. Representative Tom Allen (D), now serving his fifth term as Congressman from Maine’s 1st District, has indicated that he may run for the US Senate against Senator Susan Collins (R).

Duson has nearly twenty five years of public sector experience and has been active at all levels of the Maine Democratic Party including city committee, county committee, and state committee.
