I live in Florida's 12th district and I am planning on running against Adam Putnam as an independent candidate in 2008. I am a registered democrat but I am not happy with the representation that we (everyone in the U.S.) are getting from our elected officials. I would like to help change that.
I was inspired to do this by an entry on DailyKos that said that every race should be contested. There should be multiple candidates for every party to make sure that our elected officials are pressured to do their job or face removal by candidates that might even be in their own party. Since this is my first time to even consider political office I am going to run as an independent (unless someone can convince me otherwise).
